19.00 – Book presentation by Juan Durán entitled ‘Poemario Minero de Mazarrón 1890-1970’ (Mining Poems of Mazarrón 1890-1970).

20.30 – Opening of the exhibition ‘The mines of Mazarrón: a prodigy of silver and lead’.

19.00h – Presentation of the book by Mariano Guillén Riquelme entitled ‘El legado fotográfico de Hans Nonnast. Portrait of an era (1911-1927)’. The chronicler will also return to conduct a guided tour entitled ‘The accident of the Impensada mine: back to the past’. (Date and time to be confirmed)

Mariano Guillén, referred to three main events of the week: the lecture by Professor Alfredo Menéndez Navarro on silicosis, the presentation of the photographic book by Hans Nonnast and the repetition of the guided tour to the site of the accident at the Impensada mine. On the conference, he stressed that Professor Menéndez ‘is an authority on occupational diseases, and his talk is a unique opportunity for Mazarrón’. As for the book, he stressed the importance of the figure of Hans Nonnast and the historical value of the images collected. Finally, on the guided tour, he explained that it was decided to repeat the event due to the great interest shown the previous year.
